A REBRANDING OF MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2025

Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) is the largest film festival in both Australia and the Southern Hemisphere. It was founded in 1952 and is one of the oldest film festivals in the world.
In order to give it a new feeling of its brand. I designed a new logo and delved into the use of bold colours. In contrast to its previous design, the new branding involved a more extensive exploration of colour. I used nine distinct colour schemes and paired them in nine combinations to represent the nine main programs of the Melbourne International Film Festival. Ideally, the bright colours could highlight the characteristics of the different programs and be presented on the big screen in the respective programs before the official sessions.
