FILM POSTER DESIGN PROJECT FOR AN INDIE SHORT FILM
FILM POSTER DESIGN PROJECT FOR AN INDIE SHORT FILM

In collaboration with Jaime Calachi and his production team, I designed the poster and the end credits for his new short film 'Betel Dreams'. This indie film focus on a Taiwanese woman who sells betel nuts on the streets, exploring her emotions and experiences through this work.
The poster design draws inspiration from the classic aesthetics of Taiwanese graphic design, the colour palette is derived from the natural hues of the betel nut fruit and its shell: earthy greens and deep reds. These tones not only highlight the cultural identity tied to betel nut stands but also create a raw and authentic atmosphere that mirrors the film’s narrative. The raw treatment underscores the film’s position as an indie short, prioritising atmosphere and attitude over commercial polish.
